    Tender packages awarded for gas projects worth over $125B(QMEB)

    A construction, maintenance and asset management company has won multiple contracts for part of two gas developments worth a combined $125 billion.

    A subsidiary of CIMIC Group recently secured the maintenance, turnarounds and project services tender packages for Chevron’s US$54B (A$80.35B) Gorgon Gas Project on Barrow Island, 88km off the shore of Onslow as well as its A$45B Wheatstone LNG Project, 304km southwest of Karratha.

    Successful contractor UGL will continue to be responsible for carrying out mechanical, electrical, structural, piping, instrumentation and access work for maintenance, plant turnaround and brownfield execution.

    As many as 1000 workers will be required and many of them will be upskilled and even include apprentices. QMEB can reveal the deals are worth a total of $450 million.
