BLJ’s client for this project was a well-known Australian company that operates in the packaging, paper, and recycling industries. Since thier inception in the 1940’s, they have grown to be one of the largest privately-owned packaging and recycling companies in the world.

The client reached out to the team at BLJ to assist them in installing a new pipeline. The new pipeline required work to be conducted while the primary pipeline was still operational.

To allow work to continue at the plant, a team of expert BLJ technicians were engaged to perform a 4″ 150# hot tap into an 8″ Natural Gas line. Our team utilised a range of special equipment to cut the hole into the pipeline and insert a fitting, allowing for the connection of the new pipeline. Our hot-tapping services served as a safe and efficient way of making connections to pressurised systems.

Our meticulous hot-tapping procedure, performed by our highly trained personnel, allowed for the continued operation of the plant and individual pipeline while the modifications were made. This minimised shutdown time at the plant, resulting in increased efficiencies.
