Port and terminal infrastructure around Botany Bay and Kurnell, the water and wastewater treatment network serving greater Sydney, power and gas distribution assets, and the manufacturing and processing sites through the western suburbs all run on bolted flange joints, rotating equipment and pipework that has to be maintained without taking the whole plant down.

We mobilise our technicians and portable machining equipment to your site, carry out the machining, bolting and flange work in place, and leave the asset ready to return to service. For Sydney clients this usually means a planned scope built around your outage window, and for urgent work we also offer emergency and unplanned on-site machining.

Yes. BLJ In-situ Solutions provides on-site machining, controlled bolting, flange facing, hot tapping and shutdown services to sites across Sydney and greater New South Wales. We bring the workshop to you, so the machining is carried out with the component still in place rather than removed and sent away.
Our workshops are in Brisbane and Gladstone, Queensland, and our head office is in Capalaba. We mobilise our technicians and equipment to Sydney and NSW sites, which is how in-situ work is delivered everywhere we operate. Because the machining happens at your plant rather than in a workshop, what matters is that the right machine and the right technician arrive on site, not where the machine was garaged.
For planned work such as a shutdown or turnaround, we scope the job with you in advance and mobilise to suit your outage window. For unplanned breakdowns we offer emergency and unplanned on-site machining, and the first step is a phone call so we can confirm what has failed and which machine the job needs. In the Sydney basin that is typically port and terminal infrastructure, water and wastewater treatment, energy distribution and heavy manufacturing. Often, yes. Hot tapping allows a connection to be made to a pressurised system while it stays in service, and much of our machining and bolting work can be carried out on an isolated section while the rest of the plant keeps running. Where a full shutdown is required, we plan the scope to fit inside the window so the plant returns to service on time.
Yes. Our on-site machining and bolting equipment is available for hire, with or without a BLJ technician to operate it. The fleet includes flange facing machines, pipe cutting and weld prep machines, keyway milling machines, journal turning lathes, bolt tensioners and torque equipment.
